@sendpaws @sun I remember that post too. It was either clueless or diplomatic or both, but it did make it kinda clear that the decision-making process behind who gets to have an app store app is just fully fake and we have irreversibly accepted this as a society.

The tiny Chippewa Falls in Wisconsin is famous for being the birthplace of Seymour Cray, and a bunch of Cray supercomputers he created. It was honestly really cool to visit so long after reading about this place and Cray’s history.

I agree that imperial units are silly and we should probably run on metric for lots of practical reasons. But you gotta admit that they're a fun discussion prompt for trivia; everybody thinks there's an internal logic but it's just all weird history! For example nobody's gonna believe that it's just a weird coincidence that a Zacharia is slightly *less* than half of a Scaramucci
