I'm fascinated and inspired by the free and open web and have really enjoyed my time on the Fediverse. I'm passionate about #decentralization and censorship resistance, and like to put what I learn to practice.
Over the last few years, my gears have shifted to an intense (natural) #WeightLoss mission. I'm down over 300lbs from 570. Being so large was very difficult and I've learned a lot getting to this point.

What news sources do you actually trust in 2026?
Enough that you take reporting on face value rather than constantly extrapolating details you know are left out when inconvenient.

This is why I want public broadcasters like the CBC to provide a (fedi like) platform for citizens.
Until such a thing happens I'm going to assume all the talk of "digital democracy" is full of it.
But they'll never do it because the whole point is to use corporations as puppets to violate civil rights.

I think it's genuinely insane that there are people who's biggest problem with needless murder and mayhem is the carbon emissions.

@sun I refuse to believe these people have tried all the sports, skills and arts and are genuinely starved for mental enrichment.
I think it goes a lot deeper. Think of how dysfunctional families often openly tolerate shocking things. The rituals and practices definitely serve a darker purpose IMO. The book Prometheus Rising touches on that dynamic a tiny bit.
