how much do executives know this is going to happen, or is happening? do they just have intrinsic business person optimism and never see it? are they staying strategically ignorant? or do they totally know it and are just extracting their own wealth from it before inevitable collapse

Blurry Moon@sun@shitposter.world (2026-09-14 08:25:39) I've been asking the AI about how businesses fail, and it has been really enlightening. in particular I've been asking it about the pattern where a company does things early on to get market position or foundational growth that either definitely won't sustain it in the long run, or actually harms future success. because I perceive this as a huge problem across business.

Reply to @hazlin@annihilation.social Blurry Moon@sun@shitposter.world (2026-09-14 07:36:26) @hazlin @gabriel there's a whole series of interlocking modern life facets that erase the popular illusion of the world as sane or physically healthy. these facets are both a cause and effect of sickness. some are downstream of sickness and some make everything sicker by feeding result back into the source like a damaging feedback loop. the question is, is this closer to an honest reckoning of reality than we want to admit, or is it a corruption. lately I am heavily leaning toward the material world as inherently corrupt and it will always trend toward its own destruction, and this is what you're observing, we're just further along the entropy curve, which has radically steepened in the last 50 years.

1) I'm straight up priced out of the subscription costs
2) I think the idea of giving an LLM shell access is insane, and I'm shocked that it's caught on at all.
