@FloatingGhost @sun Oh I am well aware that subtitles are typically just done by some underpaid guy in the Philippines. Can't maximize profits and shareholder value otherwise. That's probably how the bad quality subs happen.
But Crunchyroll are different, they used to actually do pretty decent subs. But over the past 10 years the quality has declined, however their subs have a pretty specific flavor of "bad".

@sun personally I'm just pissy about some official anime subtitles because the quality of those really has gone downhill over the past 10 years.
For anime, stuff subtitled by Crunchyroll sometimes has obvious political biases in how they decide to localize stuff, and for stuff not subbed by Crunchyroll (like for example Bleach: TYBW this season) the translation is often just ass, might contain typos and erroneous grammar.
The problem with Crunchyroll subs is that it's often obvious that they're not localized for English speakers in general, they're localized by/for a specific group of Americans.

@kura Also the Pocket DS is not new, it's almost a year old at this point.
The Ayn Thor is the most popular one of the 3DS-like handhelds afaik.
I'm personally just not interested in these multi-hundred dollar devices, because I don't need them. I just want two identical displays that are integer-scale of the NDS and a DS button layout (d-pad above joystick, not below).
The RG DS is close, but I've held off thanks to how bad it is. Most notably, despite being a DS clone it can't run the best DS emulator (melonDS) well, you have to rely on stuff like drastic instead. And the displays aren't integer scale.
It's so close, I feel like the RG DS could've been exactly what I wanted if only they'd spent another $10-20 on components. I've considered getting an RG DS anyways, but knowing Anbernic I'm afraid they'll make an RG DS Pro a week after I order the non-pro.

It's one of the cheaper ones, but also the only one that seems to mimic a regular DS screen layout instead of a 3DS one.

@Baa If they want to participate they should just stay on GitHub and deal with Copilot. Isn't that what they want?
