@ganbold@sns1.hydranlab.com technically it just uses the mpd database on the server. I messed up at first and mpd on laptop actually tries to scan (download) all the files just to generate a database lol, definitely scared the shit out of me when I found out

oh I thought mpd was kinda like navidrome, a way to stream between 2 hosts. but if its just a database, basically its like calibre for books? like you cant literally use calibre to read an e-book from different host, but it manage the books in the host where its being installed

@ganbold@sns1.hydranlab.com basically a media player but daemonized, letting all things like control, queue, etc. to its client. pros is it takes considerably small resources to run compared to other kind of media player, which is a factor for me.
