@ageha @vriska @coolboymew there is definitely systemic social risk to making it a multibillion dollar industry. personally I have no problem with people selling sex or sex videos/pictures if they're not coerced but there are specific problems with sex industry and more general coercion into labor problems with capitalism proper

Cleaning up AI slop is one issue. 36% of AI execs at companies with $1B+ in annual rev reported an AI incident that led to data loss, financial damage, brand damage or operational disruptions. cute books or manga or whatever that include lewd stuff are often "wholesome" and nice
and other end of the spectrum, even "intimate-contact-included" sex work is, in personal experience, not a bad thing for all clients, and surveying across people i've met or read, not bad for all workers either (sometimes that not bad is "i enjoy it sometimes, i hate it sometimes, i get paid money, and in general it's better than the other jobs i could be doing right now
