Information is meant to be shared. My problem with LLMs and training data is that they're not making everything public, and whoever it is at Amazon that decided to destroy rare books and use them as training data should be executed on the 50 yard line of a sold-out Jerryworld

@mrsaturday @boud @skylar @condret @sun @civodul wasnt the rare book shit overblown? Iirc the books were already digitized and they werent things anyone would care about, like super niche manuals or super expensive books that again no one gave a fuck about until recently (due to performativity)
