@liztai I think that some letters will have to be invented. But there is a precedence of adding 6 letters to Jawi script that aren't present in the Arabic alphabet.

Diacritic marks do exist for Arabic, but are not used in Jawi. It might work to indicate tones.

@liztai Since Penang Hokkien doesn't have a standardised script, I wonder if Jawi can be adapted to it.
