its a worthless/impossible question to answer mostly, due to how specific the answer has to be, but how broadstroked the question asked is at the same time.

those criminal people are either equivalent to dogs who can speak, 
or (c)PTSD ridden beasts, or high-functioning socio/psychopaths, 
or sex-drive-so-intense-it-overrides-ALL-cortex-functions sexmaniacs. 

each has a significantly different modus operandi for arriving to the point of commiting a criminal act of that kind. some of these are fixable with therapy, some are fixable with jailtime, and some are unfixable.

a high sex drive criminal sociopath, should be easy to imagine.
a dog, should be easy to imagine. sex today right now yay! i go here, i go there, more sex now yay!
(c)PTSD people, basically a million different fucked up ways here but they all involve highs and lows of guilts, pleasures and pain of the emotional and physical. 
and then there's the genetically, chemically fucked people who cannot stop the sex, who can only be fixed with chemicals or castration (or chemical castration) or finding that partner (or partners) who fits him perfect.

+ theres more but this gives a overview of the low effort and high effort sesso criminals

replace sesso with p much anything else that gives pleasure and its basically the same shit all over

they all get to feel good while doing it, its a rush, its great. and if you cant think about the future because your brain lacks the ability of abstraction of self in the future (as most countries where winter doesnt exist, dont require a brain to develop such a fun
