@mitchconner @Humpleupagus @adequate @Wiz RLM will say something is okayish and then a year later pan it in asides on other reviews, so that's how they do things. But they both said they really liked it so it doesn't apply. They won't call out obvious bullshit but kidn of like mushroom soup says, a movie with stupid DEI shit in it can sometimes still be good

The problem is that to win the Brst Picture Oscar, DEI is required. Movies are no longer art. They're not even pop-art. That producers comply show how fake and gay the industry is.
Basically, DEI = More investors, more money, because of access to legacy awards that people believe reflects artistic acumen. They don't. It's all shit. Modern Movies are for npcs.

@sun @mitchconner @Humpleupagus @Wiz @adequate RLM's priority is about whether it's well made, competent, coherent, structured, engaging, regardless of the level of brainwashing in it that is almost bog standard in hollyqueird. There are a lot of very clearly dogshit insane stupid movies that they've praised for various reasons, and I think a lot of it is the critic's disease, when you see almost every movie that comes out, anything that doesn't completely suck and isn't riddled with incompetence and mistakes and bad editing and so on, the critic will enjoy more because they see too much other stuff to compare it to.
