@volpeon also why do people keep conveniently ignoring the environmental impact of AI usage? It's worse than the buttcoin craze and we all know how much power is being wasted on that shit.

@sun @fristi I sometimes do wonder what makes the environmental impact of AI so much worse in people's minds than computer games, which heavily use GPUs as well. Computer games aren't essential to live, and insane graphics aren't necessary at all to be able to enjoy games. Unreal Engine is famously an absolute waste of performance. Why aren't we outraged about this?
