@HatkeshiatorTND@annihilation.social @r000t@ligma.pro @phnt@fluffytail.org @protos@tsundere.love IQ only measure academic intelligence, not necessarily social intelligence, creative or other aspects of intelligence that are much more important when making political decisions.
If you want validity you need to do a study where you can prove that limiting the right to vote to only people with a minimum IQ will actually result in a higher level overall life satisfaction across the whole population.
My personal hypotheses is that this will likely result in the higher intelligence people using the lower intelligence people as slaves because that's what always happens when you have a group of people with zero political power.

@SuperDicq @r000t @phnt @HatkeshiatorTND @protos common misconception. it does not measure academic intelligence, it measures raw problem solving capabilities that are applicable in every single domain of life regardless of education background. a properly written and administered IQ test can't be gamed or practiced or studied for. people with a low enough iq cannot make decisions surrounding their own lives. other proficiencies like art or creativity are important for the individual and society but you can be a great artist or athlete and too unintelligent to manage your own life let alone be permitted to make decisions that affect other people.
the best argument against IQ is that a single score for all the ways you're good at solving problems is highly synthetic, not that it doesn't measure anything real.

@sun@shitposter.world @r000t@ligma.pro @phnt@fluffytail.org @HatkeshiatorTND@annihilation.social @protos@tsundere.love It's not a misconception, the validity of IQ tests outside of academic intelligence is still very much debatable.
