Holiday is over. Back to work.
It rains this morning so plan B: public transport. One tram ride is cancelled… promising start.

Went birding with daughter today. We started with looking for a specific bird in a park. A 3 km waddle in the sun. We didn’t find it. Then we went to National Park Oostvaardersplassen for a 5 km waddle. In total we noted 33 bird species, 4 butterfly and dragonfly species (couldn’t identify 2 other species) and 1 mammal.
We couldn’t completely identify the mammal, it was a weasel or stoat. No pixel evidence unfortunately. However it was the surprise of the day! 😍
Of the birds the white-tailed eagle is always magnificent to see. 🤩 In total we saw 4 of them from quite a distance.

Woke up at around 04:00 just after sunrise. The hills were partly lit up by the rising sun.
Was a bit confused (or fully awake yet) by the location… took some time to realise sunrise and sunset are both more to the north than back home.
