@bonifartius I guess the epitome this approach would be to write the spec as Haskell types that fully prove the correctness of the program then have an LLM generate code that compiles but God, that kind of Haskell is miserable to write

@bonifartius A big part of what sketches me out about using LLMs for large programming tasks (bro ur just a manager of juniors now bro) is that I can't have a theory of mind for them or build well-founded trust in them, like I can with people
The whole process ends up being adversarial and exhausting

I'd like to do a PhD in CS but as far as I can tell there's close to 0 funding for someone who just wants to focus on networking, cryptography, and distributed systems without any monads or tensors in sight

I love how banks do "two factor authentication" by sending a code to your email.... the same email that can be used to reset your password
So really it's not even 1 factor authentication at that point, the only thing that matters is control over email
Better than using a weird snowflake app for it I guess but ugh these people need to be forced to provide TOTP 2FA
