@phnt it’s always been a bad idea to let a clueless person to lead a good project.

argon2, bcrypt are being used widely, and they also doing cryptography stuff, which also has PoW. With that aside, Why not ban a lot of projects that’s using the two too? The thing that they’re even hosting is also doing exactly that

@yonle What I always found funny is that those people that complain about cryptocurrency and pow using too much energy never care about the fact that 80% of the sites they go on the Internet force TLS even though it doesn't need encryption. But suddenly wasting energy on encrypting random blog traffic is fine.

@phnt @yonle explain to me why crypto, which people definitely find useful for the fact that it holds value, is more wasteful than video games. protip, any answer undermines your original premise when you acknowledge that value is completely arbitrary
