@yohan @pwm @tyil @phnt @SuperDicq @sun they're publicly traded so its democratic in a sense that people who own shares vote on how best to fleece everyone and the public votes with their wallet.
people don't like that framing because people in fact suck and society does not improve very much from just doing democracy better.
