talking about drawing,

I forgot when maybe first grade or second grade, or even pre-school, I do draw a lot using crayon. I think plenty of kids around my age around my place kinda do the same. until one day I realizd a friend from the same school as me draw much better than me. I don't think it was envy or anything, it just why do I bother entering a contest/competition if he always win. I can always draw from home, no need to wake up early in the morning and drive somewhere just to know that my friend will win.

10 years, I didn't draw at all after that. then idk at high school I started to draw again, people called it rakugaki, or scribble, perhaps? I randomly draw the teacher, friend, someone in front of me, and they liked it despite its just a scribble.

3 years later, pandemic, I have nothing to do, I started to draw digitally for my favorite streamer. since I was struggling with the quality, so I play with concept, like character design, unique pose, storytelling. my fanart never made into a thumbnail, but I was satisfied til the end.

my drawing never improved, no one to blame. but at least I know how to draw, and I can pick it up anytime I feel like I want to draw. not to compete, but to express.
