Do people in the Eurozone typically hold currency outside of the Euro?

e.g. for instance, common practice in Southeast Asia to hold US Dollars

@cell@shitposter.world In germany, you only use euro. unless you plan to go to a none eurozone country.

and its become more common to not carry cash around at all

based on the answers i presume its not common to have a bank account outside your home country either..
