energymadeeasy is a government website that lets you compare electricty and gas plans from different companies and find the best deals
however the numbskulls have changed the site and it now apparently has no way to exclude plans that only apply if you have solar panels feeding into the electricty grid. thus the results in no way resemble what deal i can actually get, even though you have to type in your meter number and address to search the deals.

y'all I don't get it. The unlimited hype of LLMs and yet, the marketed "wins" are soooo boring. "It found a security vuln!" ... did it also fix it? no?
"I used it to fix a bug in curl and send a patch!" why are you using *any* dependencies at all? Isn't this text generation machine capable of just whole-cloth writing exactly what you want?
"I ported my large project from Zig to Rust for memory safety!" !??!?! why does your llm generate memory unsafe code? Did you forget to tell it "do not write memory unsafe code" ??
I'm so confused by all of these wild claims. I mean, I get that it probably is fun to use but... so many are out here pretending we have replicators from Star Trek and the best we can imagine is use it to sew buttons back onto our jackets or change the color of our socks?

Protip every god damn human being is “problematic” unless they heavily filter so maybe if your ideology can’t handle that it’s bad and wrong
Blurry Moon@sun@shitposter.world (2026-07-22 12:59:14)
Issue with crypto miniapps: now your server is a target for hacks to steal your users crypto
Or, server admin steals your crypto
Any ideas?

The 432 claim is both normal and meaningless. Greg has been flooding the CVE list for years.

It's public key cryptography, not a simple password. The private data is not sent over the wire, so it can't be stolem. I would like to have public key cryptography in use for authentication, though I have one major and one minor reservation with passkeys.
The major reservation is remote attestation: the party that I'm authenticating with should have no idea what device I'm using, as long as it follows protocol. I don't feel comfortable using a protocol with provisions for this; large tech companies have shown that they're not to be trusted, especially where there's an opportunity for lock-in.
The minor reservation is the difficulty of backup and recovery. (If the major reservation is resolved, I can run a non-standard passkey agent that backs up the way I want, so this is only an issue if someone has protocol support for constraining the devices I can use)

@filippo Thanks for the explanation, it would be valuable if there's a more detailed education on why passwd[:32] can be phished, while passwd[32:] is immune

@7666 this is a democratic tactic, which is shift the blame from the state since its inception, to a specific administration of the state.

"What’s interesting about this backend is that it will play a role in our plan to replace the old bootstrap compiler implementation and, perhaps even more interestingly, it will allow Zig to target architectures not supported by LLVM, including ones that force you to use a specific C
compiler, like certain game console platforms"

if anyone got bored or overstimulated or something, look up on short animation or indie animation, usually from either school of animation or just indie animation studio. watching them make me wondering, why such animation never appeared on my feed, and I have to manually look up on them
