hello! my name is rachael. i am a trans woman trapped in a red state. i live with my disabled partner and two dogs. i was fired from my previous job for being trans. since then, i have diligently searched for new employment, but no one local wants to hire a trans person, and remote jobs are increasingly rare.
as i continue my job search, i need to maintain a roof over our heads. we need to continue to survive as i continue my efforts. as such, i am asking for help making rent as well as paying our utilities and other bills. this will allow us to stay safe as i try to navigate the professional world's rampant transphobia.
additionally, i am eager to hear of any job opportunities you may be able to refer me to. i have a decade of experience in software development, with my previous role of six years being a senior fullstack position that included project planning, management, and maintenance, as well as mentorship and client communication. i am open to any position, even entry-level, that is either remote or in seattle or indianapolis. i hope to relocate to seattle as soon as possible, but i will do what i need to survive.
our goal is $2000. i know, thats a lot. im trying my best to find employment. anything you can give would be wildly appreciated and help keep us safe.

Dust off the resume. I can create 3 seperate resumes for 3 different job types now.
Anything thay can get me more than 17.25 an hour on California is what I want. Because I feel like i am working for fucking exposure. Like legit "you do so well!" pay me "you are the best on the team~" pay me "I love your stuff u do!!!" pay me "I'm always happy to see you here." well I am working night shifts for minimum wage and day shifts with little sleep or money to componsate. I can't do what I want to do (help people and inspire creativity) with the trickle-down economics that is my paycheck.
I am at my 4th job. And it's gonna be the first one I quit.
Everything in my life is good. Everything. Except this job. I'm almost the happiest NB in California. Except this job. I am having the time of my life right now. EXCEPT THIS JOB.
I do good shit. I am good at this shit and the stuff i am NOT good at I am actively learning through book reading and practice. And I know this because the people in my life (inside and outside) say fucking so!!!!!
