If someday i have to forced retiring my macbook for mobile use and decided to make it as a headless machine. I need to find a replacement that is has equivalent user experience as like that (the touchpads and its gesture is unbeatable).
So, i'm questioning. Are there any good premium laptops that is good as an alternative of Macbook? (Planning fully using Linux ofc). Might focus looking into second-hand device.

@lain I vibe coded a better library for C.
I think you can actually somewhat bypass the RGB332 which is a convention of the Python library, but you still only get 8 bits per pixel and limited combinations.

@koakuma@uwu.social @cell@outerheaven.club I bought a suitcase full of doujins and I was kind of scared at the border control because while buying them I forgot I was flying back through Germany and not the Netherlands where that stuff is probably illegal. Thankfully they didn't look at it.

littleFedi - Official Account@littlefedi_official@littleone.littlefedi.social (2026-09-16 16:50:33)
Hello from littleFedi 👋
This is the official account for littleFedi.
littleFedi is a lightweight, efficient and Mastodon-compatible platform for the Fediverse.
The idea behind it is simple: software should adapt to the machine and the community, not the other way around.
littleFedi can run on modest hardware, but it is not designed only for small machines. The same approach is meant to scale with you, from a tiny personal instance to a larger community.
Our priorities are:
Efficiency, without unnecessary resource usage
Simplicity, both for users and administrators
Interoperability, with the wider Fediverse
Accessibility, including a usable no-JavaScript baseline
Control, because your instance should remain yours
No AI features, no magic black boxes, just predictable software and transparent algorithms
The project is still evolving, and we are deliberately taking the time to test federation, scalability and the rough edges before calling it ready.
This account will be used for releases, development updates, technical notes, demos and everything related to littleFedi.

Small footprint when you need it. Room to grow when you need that too.
Welcome to littleFedi.

@lain It's an AdaFruit special one that can only do very limited color and resolutions over a special connector that you can hook a cable and 5 dollar hdmi plug to.
The color is RGB332 which sucks but I spent a bunch of time last week working out what would look good on it despite only 3 blue shades capable in any RGB combination.
