@toast @ignaloidas I agree with ignaloidas though that if you duplicated tracks everywhere it would be crazy but I don't think that seriously was gonna happen anyway.

if local people pick where to run the tracks, they have no reason to duplicate them all over, which is essentially what I'm saying here
you might end up with some parallel lines that are a few hundred km apart but those are desirable anyway

@toast @ignaloidas in tokyo there are places with different companies but they don't duplicate the same or close to the same lines afaik
