@condret @civodul @boud llm acceptance is actually inevitable even if people hate that fact, sorry for confronting reality. that doesn't mean it's inevitable they'll be used for everything or should be used for everything but you can run them on a gpu, if you think they're going to go away you're just an obvious fucking idiot.

@condret @boud @civodul normal people get a shitload of utility out of llms even when they're frequently wrong, which is perfectly analogous to nearly every new tech ever, the question is will they get better and the answer is they have been getting better for years now lol so I don't even understand why this is a debate. well actually I do, and it doesn't speak well for people
