@vriska @coolboymew the only reason they banned the porn was they couldn't fine-grained stop their actual homegrown child porn of trans kids getting groomed so they just banned everything.

@vriska @coolboymew no value judgment but its "funny" how 100% of the energy was focused on porn platforms that actually catered to adults and had strict controls to prevent real trafficking, far far more effective than the "legitimate porn industry" but an actual giant grooming and trafficking child porn conduit got away completely scot-free.

@sun @coolboymew unlike every other social platform listed, tumblr self policed that. There was no "pedi" on tumblr and twitter is child porn central. the tumblr porn ban was to appease advertisers. The company did lose like95% of its value

I know that sounds like some pernia shit but it's no joke. /pol/ was fucking going on campaign against it for months. same people kept coming back, months apart. it really looked like tumblr wasn't forwarding reports to the police.

they banned it because apple literally kicked them off the iphone unless they did it. the entire socmedia internet is completely under the control of the smartphone walled garden, which functions as an unelected government of the modern internet
