@sun There's a lot of discussion about the DSA starting to worm its way into mainstream Democrat politics and Republicans are using his popularity with DSA members as an attack vector. It turns out people don't like champagne socialist dog abusers that say the US deserved 9/11, who knew?

The Democrats are largely silent on this because they want the DSA gone too, and want to go back to being Reid Hoffman's decline managers.

@mrsaturday the dsa stuff is interesting to me but only because democrats are really fucking stupid and completely unable to detect co option by further left dipshits. Every democratic protest gets fronted by actual communists and democrats just absorb their talking points even when they’re knowingly deathly afraid of actual leftists

@sun Literally all the Democrats have to do is actually say they care about making your average person's life better regardless of color or sexuality and they'd have 400 seats in Congress tomorrow. It really is that fucking easy. They just refuse to do it, and the only reason why people are even entertaining the DSA crowd is because they're actually talking like they care about the issues people care about rather than wedge issue crap. Most people couldn't even tell you what the DSA is.
