@jaff @anemone @sun Unsure about that, a lot of people now may be able to shit out simple tools they couldn't otherwise because they couldn't program. It's gonna be some sort of new "open source" era, just like how open source has made it so you don't have to purchase video players, video codecs, programs to convert videos, etc.

Considering what I'm able to do with an Snes game, there is a significant chance that I can use this tech to crack a massive amount of old historical software and games which keygens and serial code sites are now entirely defunct

I know of a Win 3.1 level era game which has the game's speed tied to the CPU, I had to actually hex edit the save file to break beyond the speed setting to actually make it playable, but it was still TOO fast even at the absolute limit. With AI, I could probably change the game's code in some way to either make it so that I can properly adjust it for modern computers, either fix the speed setting and maybe even fix whatever is making the game NOT run on post-XP Windows, after all, Visual Basic stuff of that era is 100% easily reverse engineerable so a skilled modern AI could probably accomplish all of that

@sun@shitposter.world @coolboymew@shitposter.world the real pitfall is 99% of people do not understand this and they are doomed to shitflood the ecosystem with unforgivably unmaintainable crap.

it is already killing FOSS now. it will only get worse with time. it's a normie DDoS.

@sun @jaff evidently and I'm not contesting that. It's just that right now a lot of possibilities are opening up to people who just couldn't do even the smallest of tool despite having the idea and the will. Now, with a bit of knowledge and patience, they can
