@ins0mniak Trump's ideology is "get rich quick" and "own the libs". That's it. That's all he cares about. Democrat ideology is just blind hatred of anyone too white/male/straight/Christian for their liking. It's a big reason why I can't get behind the DSA soys, even though they're the only group at the moment even pretending to give a fuck about the common man.

Only Congress critter I saw that managed to pull it off was some guy from Georgia that was talking to Japanese people about peanuts in Coke, and he opened a glass bottle Coke by flicking the cap off with his thumb, which I guess impressed them to where they were doing fan art and comparing him to Senator Armstrong

@mrsaturday @ins0mniak there's nothing inherently wrong with no ideology, in the first term he made newsdorks lose their shit because he did things based on "will this work" not "does this line up with party". Unfortunately as we all know though, he is not trustworthy person, never has been.

@sun @ins0mniak The problem is he does have an ideology, it's "do whatever makes liberals mad and get rich while you do." Blow up trade with Canada and talk about annexing them? Sure! Dig up Jackie Kennedy's rose garden for a gaudy ballroom? Go for it! Blow billions sending untrained thugs from city to city harassing the locals and black bagging random people that speak Spanish, regardless of citizenship or residency status? Awesome! Throw everything at crypto and start a meme coin meant to solicit bribes while loading up regulatory agencies with corrupt cronies? Triggered!

It's the same problem I have with Poast types. Being the opposite or doing whatever a strawman caricature you put in your head dislikes may be an ideology, but it's an inherently destructive one, both to yourself and everything around you. You do have to stand FOR something in order to actually be respectable.
