if you want to hedge your bets, the safest/most useful language you can learn as an english speaker is probably chinese.

i have my issues with china just as I do the US, but with the scale they are able to operate from simple restaurants to complex manufacturing to the wholesale undermining and embarrassing of US AI companies (by just releasing competitive models for free), there is a lot in their favor in the coming decades.

@sun @7666 now that there's not really as much work to do, we need to start to ask... who the fuck are "they" to decide who is needed, who gets the luxury of existing, and who doesn't.
