@7666 @gabriel when i was a kid i'd be fascinated by the idea of robots, and i'd borrow all sorts of books from the school library about them
they all predicted how in the near future personal service robots would be as common in households as computers
this being a school library, these were old books. i never checked the dates on the books, but many of them described the HERO 1 as cutting-edge technology https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HERO_(robot)
anyway, that screenshot reads like some of the stuff i read in those books, but with bigger words and more poorly thought through concepts

@ophis @7666 @gabriel I saw one of these at a technology museum when I was a kid, I don't think it could actually do anything meaningful but who knows, maybe it was just hard to program it to do new things.
