céline didone@ruben@friendship.quest (2026-07-25 21:29:23) I didn’t know Anthony Hopkins composed music. It’s pretty good

céline didone@ruben@friendship.quest (2026-07-25 18:45:46) Just read Byung-Chul Han’s The Burnout Society.

It’s sixteen years old, but I think it’s a great description of the last couple of decades.

I wonder now how this “achievement” focused society is changing. Because of AI, this concept of can is even more ridiculous.

So many people are rushing to do more because they can, but it’s pretty meaningless. The forces that push for this achievement culture are very clearly a joke.

céline didone@ruben@friendship.quest (2026-07-25 02:55:17) baby, I'm georg (babyi’mgeorg)
And I'll be georg until the spiders fill my mouth (oo-oo-ooo)
georg until the spiders all go down

This was a great way to just talk.

It was easy to see if there was someone outside smoking or having a break, so our breaks tended to organically fall together.

This was never designed or expected, but these breaks that combined people from different teams and seniorities were one of the biggest sources “good ideas”or information sharing.

I wonder how this has manifested in other places.

céline didone@ruben@friendship.quest (2026-07-24 22:12:25) Has anyone here have the experience at work where you have time to “do nothing with others” where the presence of this time has led to better work?

If so, could you share a story of how it was for you?

céline didone@ruben@friendship.quest (2026-07-24 20:52:03) sorry, but I can’t come to work to day as I seem to no longer be able to can [nicht mehr können kann] and have reached a deep tiredness [Müdigkeit] and am currently experiencing a singular calm [Gelassenheit]

céline didone@ruben@friendship.quest (2026-07-23 21:22:28) I didn't really do portraits before, but I've done a few with the RB67 and I love how it looks so much.

I tried so far the Delta and the HP5+, and I find the delta grain too soft.I want to try a color film next.

céline didone@ruben@friendship.quest (2026-07-19 05:28:32) It's fun learning to use another DAW. There's always enough difference in the process that it makes you think about different things.

In this case, trying out the linux DAWs.

Once I moved back to x86, all the problems I had with the audio pipeline disappeared.
