Yeah, the death penalty should just get phased out. It also doesn't help that every time I see someone arguing in favor of it it just comes across as sadism to me, but that's just my perspective.

@sunbeam_rider @sun @hakui what bothers me the most is even if you present the facts people will still be in favor of the death penalty because they never reasoned themselves into supporting it they are just pro-violence

@rees @sunbeam_rider @hakui the only reason I'm agains the death penalty is that you don't need it to remove someone from society, and you can't take it back if you kill someone. and, it gives the government too much power.
