I remember being excited for it for years. And then when it came out everything was so same and boring. 
The most fun I had was a mod that let you build your entire spaceship from blocks and I build a floating peice of dirt and grass and trees with giant thrusters and a tent on it. 

It was space camp.

@rebootbrain makes sense. i played multiplayer a lot back then. we hung out on the same planet, built it up, RPed a bit. re-trying Starbound now with a story and everything being altered makes me sad. I can never re-live it since they slopped everything
