you can try to grep for 'distribution'.

btw:  If you want to verify that the policies file is working, open a new tab and type about:policies into the URL bar. You should see some settings similar to what's in the file.

goes in /usr/local/lib/firefox/distribution/ on freebsd.  the document has been updated to include this info
