nobody cares about this stuff generally but it's just another brick in the wall.

the original project is useful and loved but:

* its suffering from lack of developers because of the D language choice
* wasm targeting is suffering from D language choice
* productivity-enhancing AI use on the codebase is suffering from D language choice
* The project is threatening to go on hiatus for lack of funding--yet I have reimplemented the runtime in a better tech stack in less than 8 hours, and in informal tests it seems to run better than reference runtime.
* reimplementation projects, targeting other platforms, almost all seem stalled and out of date.
* it took a bunch of money from the EU, which could have been directed to other open source projects, considering I did the same work for free an in a fraction of a day (I fully intend to open source it all soon.)

I'm not trying to badmouth the project, but this is cursed.

@pernia I was kinda unfair to D, it doesn't totally suck, it's actually nice in a lot of ways, but I still don't want to dump energy into learning it, there are better options now.
