Development has ended on the Linux port of Orion browser.
Kagi, the company who made it, says it plans to open source the code this month, but will not be continuing work itself. Users of the Linux beta will get no further updates.

Is Linux now an entertainment franchise?
I only hear of these continual dramas days after the fact. Iām not sure if it's a dereliction of duty (I write a blog about Linux) or, weirdly, the healthiest possible relationship one can have with the internet in 2026 (I do mute a lot of words š).
Either way, it feels like Linux discourse is now permanently hooked up to an IV drip of outrage. We'd have months without something to reflexively react to as a community ā now it's barely 24 hours.
