@neopolitan @cell @whiteline there is also, I get there are people that don't want to deal with bullshit or are particularly fragile. tbh society will have those people and other people do nneed to protect them, if they are legitimately fragile and not a product of learned helplessness. the pipeline that makes people weak shit is actually bad though

this can generally be resolved by improving the tooling; let people manage themselves / block the people they need to block, without getting the whole fucking instance involved unless the moderation staff are complicit in whatever the problem is.
