The VEK is a modernised version of the MPK series mech. It sports enhanced chest space and better sensitivity along with various fixes for problems with the earlier models. The branding as a new series is somewhat contested among experienced pilots and mechanics, leading to many of them affectionately referring to it as MPK still.
