Went to a ski museum and I saw France's most complete collection of historical ski collection showing the evolution of these.
The major advancement in skies world wide was when plastic/resin skies were made and French Olympics got their bus KGB'ed by the USSR and they literally stole the skies and copied them for their own teams.
