In case anyone had any doubt, Dreame robot vacuums are the epitome of modern "buy it for the trash can" consumer goods.

The main brush mount on mine seems to have done some combination of bored itself out into a circle and melted the nylon, presumably from getting clogged with hair (as it does routinely) and the motor keepin' on chuggin while the brush refused to spin. I discovered while trying to clean the brush out that there was simply no way to re-mount the brush.

Anyway, to replace this messed up nylon mountpoint that probably costs a few cents in materials, you have to replace the entire main brush mechanism and all surrounding motors, to the tune of $50USD (10% of the cost of a full brand new robot) with a part only available from China via resellers. The entire robot must be torn apart, spare a couple PCBs, to replace this part.

Grumble... (but I'll probably order the part anyway).
