This might look a little dense, but here's a good example of how I plant a storyline stub for later harvest.

I fish around for likely characters, then invent some history with Cassidy the protagonist girl, then extrapolate a conflict, then make sure there's plenty of room to make things fun while it's resolved in some way.

These parts are like taking a very satisfying dump.
