rapid transit network exists (BRT)
provincial government has defunded and shut it down once already; revived, but mostly covers the city centre to the southern tourist district parts of the island, and operating hours are for some reason 4am to 6pm or some shit like that so rip night shift people
motorcycle/car culture has established this sort of stigma against using the transit network, to the point where some people actually blame the service as being the cause of traffic jams
government is now instead directing funds to making one ART line, from the airport to a tourist district, even though there already exists a BRT route that serves effectively the same purpose
makin heran lagi :blobcatfrustrationtilt:

where motorcycle culture here (to an extent nationally, as well?) includes:
- bolting obnoxiously loud exhausts on to the shittiest scooters
- same as above but with blinking strobe lights
- posting pictures of said shitty scooters on shittok with ten billion transitions with some of the most annoying music one can find
- all this for some kind of inane prestige
someone correct ivy as he may be biased (what regularly facing swathes of scooters either parked or being ridden on sidewalks does to you)

traffic laws effectively unenforced too
roads are basically anarchy (the kind where common sense doesn't exist)
