@sun @tyil I can't really do anything but be deeply unserious about either of these topics because I am unproductive with no wife to dissatisfy.

People who get their heckles up about AI are just the latest iteration of fags who believe anyone who comes to any conclusion contrary to their own is guilty of some moral failing, either through ignorance of their own evil  or wilful disobedience of the divine truth which just so happens to align with their personal opinion 100%.

We have been plagued by this same kind of retard online for over a decade and they keep flitting from topic to topic poo-pooing everything they don't like  and the fotm moral failing is ai usage this time around.

@pwm @tyil @sun people are mad because the models don't deliver but corporate is so nakedly desperate to fire the workforce they're cramming it everywhere. this is halo effecting on to the entire field, including those of us that use the shit that *does* fucking work.

@icedquinn @pwm @tyil its comically oversold and it's causing insane hardware prices, every other complaint is pretty bullshit when you inspect them closer. the datacenter thing started okay when it was about land and utility prices affecting rural communities but now its people just mad about fucking datacenters in general because they got told to on social media
