hey there! i'm doskel; i like radios, bikes, climbing, inline skating, computers, freerunning, and making things that bridge the gaps between them.

do not flirt with me.

am child. behave accordingly.

doskel, hypothetically@doskel@masto.doskel.net (2026-08-20 04:53:37) new campus sprint time: 4:03, down from 4:10 or so
different route that i think was slower (campus was actually busy today so I actually had to find lines, adding to the slowdown) but i was pushing like hell which still shaved some time

this out of Microsoft in the late 90s is hilariously ominous

doskel, hypothetically@doskel@masto.doskel.net (2025-07-31 14:57:06) nothing makes me feel cooler than polkit's password prompt

doskel, hypothetically@doskel@masto.doskel.net (2025-07-09 00:18:55) my experience as a sysadmin seems to suggest the number of problems you have is correlated to how well you know how to fix them
the most experienced admins get inexplicable kernel panics randomly, whereas i get exclusively silly config issues and network problems
