@dalias @joepie91 also people forget/ignore that a mandatory UI overhaul is in itself often a harm to accessibility

@Ember @joepie91 Yes absolutely. For certain accessibility needs, working "muscle memory" is critical. Forcing people to abandon and relearn that is an assult on accessibility.

@dalias @Ember I am once again reminded of the Yahoo blogpost that nobody else seems to remember, about how they completely banned UI overhauls - you could present a new UI design, sure, but you'd *also* have to present a ton of incremental steps to get from the current design to the new one, because you were never allowed to change more than one tiny, easy-to-adjust-to thing at a time.
