The Ruby community is general is pretty great, but disentangling DHH from Rails is… complicated. It feels like Hanakai has been building some momentum recently, but any migration wouldn’t be a small project.

And besides - it's always difficult or impossible to convince people to rewrite functional code for solely ethical reasons. It's why we still have Windows and iOS and what have you.
