Akihabara used to be interesting. Now everyone is leaning in to gachapon, anime figure, TCG crap for tourists and speculators because you go to pay the rent.
Been going on a few years.
But shit, it's crap. Like really crap. End of the pier/amusement arcade/slot machine crap.

Yeah. The more things change....
It's weird. Macdonald's moved and was replaced by something selling figures and anime merch.
The old-school electronic stuff (ham radio, slr camera stuff etc) has receded hugely, but even then that stuff is tucked away on 2F and 1F floor space is given over to... Anime tat.
It will all change again as the trends shift. Makes finding stuff you want a real chore.
But, you know not everyone is "making bank" selling vintage 35mm camera gear. đŸ˜‚
