yes, but where ring doorbells are installed at the decision of individual homeowners, flock cameras are marketed to municipalities as well as private clients, so flock installations are more likely to be taxpayer-funded.
but cops abuse ring camera access every chance they get as well! iot cameras tend to matter less because none of that shit ever works right anyway
