qr code payments are great with the caveat that:
- a banking app which requires a mainstream phone os and accompanying smartphone
- (if traveling abroad) ensure your bank has done the needful and partnered with whatever electronic payment networks exist in the country you’re in
- ensure you’re scanning the right qr code! but luckily this can be mitigated with various techniques (in person, confirm with merchant, online, check against transaction details)
