Neither OpenBSD and NetBSD allow LLM code, because they consider it to be (copyright) tainted

OpenBSD's policies¹ don't specifically name LLMs but they have said elsewhere that LLM code doesn't have an author who could grant OpenBSD licence to use it²

NetBSD specifically mentions LLM extrusion³ but says it ⋆could⋆ be merged with permission from the core team

This is a theory, the practice is that OpenBSD accepts LLM-generated code. It is included in tmux, LLVM and Xenocara.

@bpl@snac.bsd.cafe @river@lingo.lol @yojimbo@masto.hackers.town @chadmccullough@bsd.cafe @elementary@mastodon.social llvm and xenocara are 3rd party components, in no way does openbsd have the resources to fork x11 or llvm compiler to maintain slopfree versions.
