resources on how to write an abstract syntax tree parser - and even more so its superset, how to write a compiler - either assume i finished my computer science major (lol, lmao even) or i have never programmed before in my life and would like an introduction to java programming while they're at it and there's no inbetween. and then they do the cliché of writing a small C compiler and some other much more fucked up shit where you start to think THEY have never programmed before in their life

@alina@girldick.gay i hate how articles on super-technical stuff start by explaining what it is. like if i don't know what an abstract syntax tree parser is, why would i be reading a page on how to write one in the first place? the link would have never been clicked. its a waste of time and a useless eyestrain to include such a blah blah blah.
